Xactly: Talk us through your career and experience that led you to your role at Gainsight and tell us about your company and business model?

Stephanie: I've been working with sales compensation since about 2008 at various different technology companies. I've been at Gainsight for 2 years now. What I love about Gainsight is that it integrates the same values and philosophies as Xactly, so we're a perfect partnership. We're a technology company focused on customer success, community, customer education and product design experience.

Xactly: When you think of other solutions on the marketing, what sets Xactly apart and makes you excited about partnering with Xactly?

Stephanie: What sets Xactly apart is their robust support and community. I feel like my success is their success so we are in direct collaboration together. There's so many avenues that Xactly uses to set me and my team up for success such as our monthly meetings with our CSMs, the shorts, the community portal, Xactly University, X Marks the Spot newsletter - there's so many avenues for streamlining efficiencies and learning opportunities that we really do feel that dedicated ongoing support with Xactly.

Xactly: What are the capabilities of Xactly that your teams appreciate the most?

Stephanie: One of the capabilities with Xactly that we appreciate the most - since I'm on the admin side - it takes an overly complex process with lots of data and inputs, and streamlines it and makes the process much more efficient than we would normally have as well as reducing risks of error and also increasing the time to pay out which is great from everyone's point of view.

Xactly: What’s one achievement you’re proud of or one attribute of Xactly’s solutions you’re most happy with?

Stephanie: One achievement that I'm really happy with with Xactly is their CEA module. CEA is great for reporting when you have SOX compliance and regulatory issues. So ASC 606 is one of the audit requirements and requires for contracts to be amortised and that helps this overly complex process and streamlines it and makes it very easy as well as for reports and auditing. So you know, that special time of year when everyone loves those auditors coming in, it makes our job a lot easier and makes us feel secure and avoid any financial penalties for not complying.
